Kelley's Life Hacks

Hi Guys! I have made this running list of hacks for over a few months now and these are somethings I live by. I hope my hacks are something you will want to incorporate into your life too!

Shopping:

  1. When it comes to online shopping it is so easy to rack up an expensive bill - my suggestion is to sleep on it. High chance your favorites you couldn't stop thinking about will still be in your cart the next morning.

  2. I am very body conscious, so when I go bathing suit shopping it is always something that gives me agita. When you go make sure you are feeling your best - if you are not feeling 100% going in, you definitely won't feel good leaving.

Beauty:

  1. Shave with conditioner. It will leave your legs feeling softer than you will ever imagine.

  2. Wash your makeup brushes with shampoo. If it is good for your hair then it is good for the bristles of your brushes.

  3. Put Vaseline on your eyelashes to make strengthen and lengthen them.

  4. If you have a bad habit of biting your nails (don't worry you are not alone) put nail polish on. I prefer to use gel because it lasts longer.

Sleep:

  1. Buy a hand lotion that is calming. I like to use a vanilla bean smell - puts me out like a light.

  2. Keep a water bottle by your bed, the best thing you can do is wake up and take a sip to start your day refreshed.

  3. Turn off your phone an hour before you go to bed. Instead read a book (it's more relaxing anyways!)

  4. Two hours before bed set your phone to night mood to give a warmer, less blue light to help protect your eyes. Or if your like me grab a pair of blue light glasses to wear all day! (I got mine for cheap on Amazon!)

Organization:

  1. Prepare the night before for what you have going on the next day.

  2. Write down what you have to do. I'm a little over the top and write what's due in THREE separate places! And I will be honest with you - I've never turned in an assignment late.

Stress:

  1. Whether it's work or school and you are confused know that it's okay and often better to asks questions. It took me awhile to build up my confidence to walk into my professor's office hours, but every time I left I felt like I could breathe again, the weight of built up confusion was lifted off my shoulders.

  2. Make sure to find time to exercise. My freshman year of college I started running around campus, just being outside and listening to my favorite music was such a reliever.

  3. Talk to a friend; my go to is my mom!

XO,

Kelley
